What Is Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil?

Cinnamon Bark Oil is steam-distilled from the bark of the cinnamon tree—cinnammomum verum—and has a spicy warm scent with sweet undertones.

Properties

Cinnamon Bark Oil's known properties are quite broad. It is a 'warming' essential oil known for its ability to stimulate the immune system, in addition to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.

How to use Cinnamon Bark Oil

There are three main ways of administering Cinnamon Bark Oil.

Diffuser

Mix one or two drops of cinnamon bark essential oil with water and add to a steam diffuser or ultrasonic diffuser. This can be beneficial for your immune system and create a sense of wellbeing in your living space.

Topical application for muscle pain

Create a warming remedial massage oil by diluting one or two drops of cinnamon bark essential oil in a carrier oil such as almond, olive or coconut oil.

NOTE: Avoid the possibility of skin irritation by ensuring the oil of cinnamon bark is well diluted.

In soap

When used as a soap ingredient, cinnamon bark essential oil's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties could be beneficial for acne sufferers, as well as generally cleanse the skin while leaving it smelling sweetly spicy and warm.

Essential Oils are highly concentrated and must be used with care.

Not to be taken internally.

Do not use cinnamon bark oil for treating medical conditions without first speaking to a medical professional.
