Lavender Oil is steam-distilled from the flowers of the lavender plant—Lavendula angustifolia—and has a potent scent, which is both reassuring and evocative.  Â
Properties
Lavender Oil has long been used for the relief of anxiety and the treatment of insomnia; there exists research to support its effectiveness in these areas.
It is also known for its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
How to use lavender oil
There are four common ways to administer Lavender Oil. We recommend using a high quality Lavender Essential Oil.
Diffuser
Add two drops of lavender essential oil to an ultrasonic diffuser or steam vessel with some water to create a calming atmosphere in your living space.Â
On the pillow
Placing one or two drops of lavender essential oil on the pillow at bedtime will help to promote deep, restful sleep and relieve insomnia.
Topical application
Apply one drop to each temple and gently massage in a circular motion. This may help to relieve anxiety and reduce stress.
 In soap
When used as a soap ingredient, lavender oil's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties can help to cleanse the skin while leaving it with a pleasing, reassuring scent.

Essential Oils are highly concentrated and must be used with care.Â
Not to be taken internally.
Do not use lavender oil for treating medical conditions without first speaking to a medical professional.
